I can't figure out how to rearrange icons on home screen , e.g., I don't want videos, settings or addons icons on the top row ?
EDIT - managed to do it in xml files thank you, great skin btw.

Hello all,
I am using CSFD scraper on Apptv skin and i am not able to scroll in information about movie. Confluence skin have navigation arrows. I am not sure if this is skin issue or scraper issue.
Next issue, App skin use stars for rating films and confluence use numbers. I prefer numbers.
Could you please help?

Hi.
Is it possible to add weather on shelf permanently, if i move from TV show to Settings, for example I don't want always see weather. I used icon view.
If it not possible, how i can disable icons on shelf.
Next issue, when i am starting Kodi I can see Kodi and then apple box. I want remove one of these pictures. Is it possible?

after installing and enabling app tv, it turns my screen solid black with a white cursor arrow. nothing else. I have to ctrl alt del to get out of kodi. every start up does the same thing. how can i change back to default skin from outside of the program? i dont want to have to do a full uninstall and lose all my settings if i can avoid that

Hello,

I installed the APP TV skin for Kodi on my Amazon fire stick. After the install, the menu and everything was there, but the menu was running slow so I restarted the stick. when I went back into Kodi, Kodi loaded fine and I got the App TV logo, but after the logo went away the screen goes black. After letting it sit long enough the screensaver kicks in, but there is no way to get Kodi to load now with a menu. Any suggestions?

I was able to force a stop on Kodi through the apps menu and clear the cache, un plugged the stick moved it to another TV, but nothing so far has worked.

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I'm not sure if this is a bug or what but it is driving me crazy. The blue watched indicator appears to be broken, even though all the episodes in a season have been watched (which is verified by the blue dot disappearing) the blue dot next to the whole season remains. Also the green title that indicates a new episode (I believe) won't disappear. Is this a common issue or isolated to me? I have attached some screen shots that may describe it better.

Update: You can see where it says "156 unwatched" this number doesn't change unless you play the episode, marking as watched doesn't change the number which may be part of the issue

When you set a media entry point for TV, the entries are off by one - e.g. If you set an entry point of Guide, you actually end up in Recordings, If you set Recordings, you end up Timers etc.

Has anyone else had trouble populating the shelf in Horizontal view?

The only success I have had is using "recent" setting for Movies & Music. No other setting (icon, recommended) works for Movies or Music, and can't get anything to show up TV Shows, Addons, Pictures, etc.

One thing I'd like to see changed in the skin is the default button you get when you press 'enter' & bring up the OSD. Currently this defaults to the stop button, which means if you bounce the enter key [this can be a problem with some remotes], you're booted out of what you're currently playing.

It would be more user friendly for the default button to be pause, because the consequences of a key bounce are less drastic.

Hello to all. I want to start my post, saying thank you very much to Mr. “wyrm”, for your great, great work. Your skin is my all-time favorite and the one, I use. It’s simple, effective and graceful!

I use XBMC, now Kodi, for some years. I’ve it installed on my Windows / Mac machines. AppTV skin installed on all of them, of course.

I use iOS devices. For security reasons, I’ve never jailbroken them… so no XBMC for me.
Well, not until now. Last night, I picked the latest stable Kodi deb file, fired up Xcode and “sideload” the compiled application, on my iPhone and iPad. Everything worked great!


First thing to do; install AppTV skin. Well I have two problems and could use some help:

1) On the iPhone 5S, the skin scales well. Everything looks good and works really well!
The problem is on my iPad; the scale doesn’t look right; somehow it’s stretched. I think is because of the 4:3 aspect ratio. How can I resolve it? How, what do I need to edit or change to make it work well, of my iPad mini 2?

2) Second problem. I’m from Portugal so, I’ve changed the language to Portuguese.
The problem is, on the menus, I have:

Vídeos | Vídeo (again) | Séries TV | Música | Add-ons | Sistema

How do I change the repeated name?

I wanted to have on (Perfect Portuguese conversion / structure / organization):

Vídeos | Filmes | Séries TV | Músicas | Extras | Sistema


Any help would be really appreciated.

Good day guys,

I've installed this fine on my OSX machine however on my AppleTV4 it just is not listed in get more skins drop down menu.

This is a fresh install, just wondering if it's not supported on AppleTV4 or if I have missed something..

I use ncid to send callerid information to kodi using kodi-send. The information displays correctly when a screen saver is active, at a menu/list screen, during music playback, etc. The only location the message does not display is when a video is playing/paused. This works in other skins (and used to work in xTV SAF before the move to kodi/AppTV). Is there an option either through the UI or within a file that will allow notifications/messages while a video is playing or paused?

The message only displays for 4 seconds and allows me to decide if the call is important enough to pause the video to answer.

Hello,

I upgraded to Jarvis 16.1 last night on a new Raspberry Pi 3. I use your excellent AppTV skin. However, I have this problem now:

"Failed to install dependency"

from kodi.log:

Ok, I have been away for the weekend and have only just noticed this, so this is just my initial take on the issue.

AppTV, includes support of a number of external scripts to provide additional skin functionality. Some of these scripts have been made dependencies as I feel the functions they provide are important to the user. One of these functions is the Debug Log uploader. As it turns out this script has not been working for some time and late last weeks was marked as broken in the various repos. The result of this is that when a user tries to download the skin for the first time, the dependency for the Debug log uploader can not be met and so my skin can not be loaded.

OK, that's the bad news. Now for the good news. People are working on fixing the uploader script, so this may be fixed in the next day or so. Now for the really good news. I am about to make a pull request in the next couple of days for version 1.4.5 of AppTV. One of the feature of the new release is apart from the skin.helper script (which is very heavily used in the new release and will break the skin if it is not available) is that I have remove the need for dependencies of external scripts. Now if a user tries to use a function that requires an external script that has NOT already been loaded by something (or the user), Kodi will ask the user if they would like to load the script.

The advantage of this is that you only load what you want to use and there should be no more problems like has just occurred (oh, also user can unload the scripts without my skin blocking the action because of a dependency).

So in short, sit tight. Either problem with 1.3.5 will resolve itself, or the New, Better, Much improved version of the skin (1.4.5) will be available for download.

Sorry about the inconvenience, but completely outside of my control.

If General > Lock Screen setting menu is set to off, the dialog boxes in Home Menu will not show up. If I turn Screen setting menu back on they show up. Let me know if you need more info or if this is a known issue.

Hi everyone,

I have been working away on the Kyrpton release of the skin and have run into some problems that could do with some user help to sort out.

The first issue is that there now seems to be no string translations happening for this skin (and every other kodi addon) thru the Transfix translation service. And thus every string change to the skin since the beginning of the year has not been translated. This is not a show stopper issue in my opinion, but for non English speakers would probably be annoying. If you are able to help with translations to your language of choice, the base language file is located here.

Now the second issue, and this one is a show stopper. For the last couple of weeks I have been trying to pin down why I cannot change certain skin settings. An example of a setting that does not seem to change despite my input is the Background visibility setting located in the Background skin sub menu. All of the problem settings are ones that bring up a selection dialog to allow the user to select the setting, the code for which is supplied by the skin.helper.service addon. Now I am pretty sure it is not a problem with the helper script as Marcel's Beta Kyrpton skin which also uses this script is working just fine. I'm running Kyrpton beta 6 on a Windows 10 box, so people running other systems providing feedback of the status of the skin on their systems might help me to track down what is happening. If you would like to take the current version of the skin for a spin and report problems, you will also need to grab the beta version of the helper script located in Marcel's test repo located here.

As the skin currently stands it is pretty close to me being able to release it to the Kyrpton repo, but I will not release it until I can resolve the second issue listed above. This issue needs to be sorted fairly quickly as I am off on a family holiday just after Christmas and will not be back until the middle of January.

Hopefully I can sort the problem soon.

I am currently Using SPMC . One of the features that I use allows me to see my android apps within Kodi so I can add them as favorites.

This allows me to set up a mixture of Android apps and Kodi addons on the apptv home screen.

I am not able to navigate to this menu from APPTV . To add an Android app I have to switch skins. Add the App to Favorites. then switch back skins to add that Icon to favorites.


It would be awesome if the Android features and integration could be added to the skin but if not. I thought I would share this work around.
